The system treats biodegradable chemical process water to levels that can be discharged to city sewers. The plant reduced levels of BOD, COD, and suspended solids to levels that could be discharged without receiving surcharges. The reduction of these contaminant levels and the related surcharges created a great savings in operating costs. |
